Information you provide voluntarily. If you contact us via email, we collect the information you provide in your message (your email address, name if provided, and message content). We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
Information we do NOT collect. We do not collect financial information, social security numbers, health information, or any other sensitive personal data. We do not require user accounts or registration. We do not track individual users across sessions for advertising purposes.
How we use your information
We use automatically collected information to understand how visitors use our site (which pages are most visited, where visitors come from, which devices are used) in order to improve our content and user experience. We use voluntarily provided information (contact emails) solely to respond to your message.

Hosting. Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Their servers process your requests to access our site. Hostinger’s privacy policy governs their handling of server-level data.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic patterns. Google’s privacy policy governs their handling of analytics data. Google Analytics data is anonymized (IP anonymization is enabled) and is not linked to personally identifiable information.
WordPress and plugins. Our site runs on WordPress with GeneratePress, RankMath, and LiteSpeed Cache. These tools process requests locally on our server and do not transmit personal data to third parties (with the exception of RankMath’s optional cloud features, which we do not use).
Data retention
Server logs are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months (the default retention period). Contact emails are retained for the duration needed to respond to the inquiry and for 12 months afterward in case of follow-up.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@thehowmuch.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. EU/EEA residents have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children’s privacy
TheHowMuch does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
